After we left Wellington (\u00bb\u00a0article<\/a>\u00a0\u00ab) on the ferry which connects<\/strong> the New Zealand’s two islands, with one of the two companies, Bluebridge<\/a> for us, it’s the eyes amazed<\/strong> by the landscape that we walked on the Southern land arriving to Picton in Marlborough area.<\/p>\n

Marlborough Sounds<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

\"MarlboroughThe arrival by ferry<\/strong> in South Island is an absolutely beautiful<\/strong> sight, so we can only advise you to make sure to take the boat from Wellington.<\/p>\n

The best is to check the forecast beforehand, to enjoy a good weather and book a passage in the middle of the day to enjoy the best views on the Marlborough Sounds<\/a> valleys.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

These old reliefs<\/strong> flooded by the Pacific Ocean are now perfect sanctuaries<\/strong> for local flora and fauna. It stays, anyway, a beautiful<\/strong> arrival that is possible to contemplate from the boat deck. A landscape that you should not be deprived.<\/p>\n

Blenheim<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

After disembarking, it was only natural that we headed for the nearest big town, Blenheim<\/a> in the heart of the Marlborough area.\"Blenheim- To be honest, we didn’t find a lot of charm<\/strong> to the city, and even if the area is famous for its clear and dry weather<\/strong>, if you don’t want to tour all the wineries<\/strong> there is, unfortunately, not a big interest in staying there.<\/p>\n

However, we enjoyed a little walk, the\u00a0 Mount Vernon ascension<\/a> which delivers a beautiful 360\u00b0 view of the city, vineyards, mountains and the beach.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A small loop that can go up to 3 hours of walking depending on the route chosen, through the pastures<\/strong> for a nice view, before leaving the place to head to the Tasman famous region.<\/p>\n

\"Havelock-Marlborough\"Havelock<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

In any case, we can say that the north coastal road of the South Island is not lacking in charm<\/strong>. So we stopped a few hours on the small village of Havelock<\/a>.
\nThis is here that we took the start of a walk<\/strong>, that leading to the Takorika summit to enjoy a magnificent<\/strong> view on the Pelorus Sounds<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Pelorus Bridge<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n

Lovers of great spaces and hiking<\/strong>, or just swimming in crystal<\/strong> clear water, welcome !\u00a0\"PelorusWe stopped on this regional park<\/a>, to enjoy a long hike clocked by the river<\/strong> and waterfalls, before tackling the ascent of a hill delivering a pretty point of view. A beautiful place, where a “Hobbit” scene has been shot, and where it’s good to stop, for a swim<\/strong>, a coffee, a picnic, you see, before arriving on the big city of Nelson .<\/p>\n

Our visit to the Marlborough region has been mixed<\/strong>, we have not expressly appreciated the wine area, however the entire northern coastal area on the Marborough and Pelorus Sounds delivers unique landscapes<\/strong> that could be pleasant to discover more deeply<\/strong> .
