(<em>We will only talk here about scenario S1<\/em> *).<\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">General Regulations<\/span><\/h4>\n<h6>(extracted from the official civil avitation NZ website : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airshare.co.nz\/rules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.airshare.co.nz\/rules<\/a>)<\/h6>\n<ul>\n<li>Hight : 120 metres (400 feet) (less than in france)<\/li>\n<li>Distance : be able to see it with your own eyes (eg, not through binoculars, a monitor, or smartphone)<\/li>\n<li>Drone less than 25kg<\/li>\n<li>Fly only in daylight<\/li>\n<li>Have consent from anyone you want to film<\/li>\n<li>Have the consent of the property owner\u00a0 of the area you are wanting to fly above.<\/li>\n<li>Keep in mind all the restriction areas (not fly closer than 4 km from any\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.airshare.co.nz\/must-know\/things-to-know-flying-near-an-aerodrome\">aerodrome<\/a>\u00a0&#8230;etc)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To make your life easier, here is the map (in addition to the DJI&#8217;s one) that we use before each of our flights in New Zealand: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.airshare.co.nz\/maps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">https:\/\/www.airshare.co.nz\/maps<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Specific\u00a0Regulations<\/span><\/h4>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Le DOC (departement of conservation)<\/a><br \/>\n<\/span><\/h5>\n<h5><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1586 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/doc_logo-300x163.jpg\" alt=\"doc_logo\" width=\"121\" height=\"66\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/doc_logo-300x163.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/doc_logo.jpg 390w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 121px) 100vw, 121px\" \/><\/h5>\n<p>In New Zealand many areas are &#8220;Department of conservation&#8221; properties so we can find protected trees, birds colonies (Albatross, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/hawkes-bay\/\">Gannets<\/a> &#8230;), marine animals and of course beautiful landscapes.<\/p>\n<p>Certain zones are formally prohibited and others require an authorization (sometimes paying), find all the requests to make on their site :<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/get-involved\/apply-for-permits\/business-or-activity\/aircraft-activities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/get-involved\/apply-for-permits\/business-or-activity\/aircraft-activities\/<\/a><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #339966;\">The\u00a0<a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/parks-and-recreation\/things-to-do\/walking-and-tramping\/great-walks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">greats walks<\/a>\u00a0and national parks (DOC)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1593\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_sticker-241x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_sticker-241x300.jpg 241w, http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_sticker-643x800.jpg 643w, http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_sticker.jpg 723w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/>These famous multi-day treks in the heart of beautiful parks, with breathtaking landscapes, does it speak to you?<br \/>\nTo name only one, the Tongariro National Park. Today, the drone is forbidden there !<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Info: No information or prohibitions were present on the Tongariro during our flight. In the space of one month, small stickers have emerged, as well as informations on the DOC\u00a0 website, prohibiting flights.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8220;DOC also reminds people that <strong>drones are not allowed<\/strong> be used in the park. Tongariro Alpine Crossing is unique and a special journey, so<strong> leave your drones at home<\/strong> and let other walkers enjoy their experience&#8221;<br \/>\n<em>extracted from the 9th of october 2017 article doc.govt.nz<\/em><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #339966;\">Marine mammal<br \/>\n<\/span><\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1601\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/dolphins-240x300.jpg\" alt=\"dolphins\" width=\"145\" height=\"181\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/dolphins-240x300.jpg 240w, http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/dolphins.jpg 639w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 145px) 100vw, 145px\" \/>Filming marine mammals like dolphins, seals or whales is possible but the rule is rather vicious.<br \/>\nIndeed, it&#8217;s possible to fly without a license but at least at 150 m horizontally from the animal&#8217;s location, in short you will not see much. If you wish to derogate, you will need to apply for a permit. Find the information and requests on the DOC website:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/get-involved\/apply-for-permits\/interacting-with-marine-mammals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/get-involved\/apply-for-permits\/interacting-with-marine-mammals\/<\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #00ccff;\">Our personal warnings<\/span><\/h4>\n<h5>The birds<\/h5>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1600\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/kea-239x300.jpg\" alt=\"kea\" width=\"145\" height=\"182\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/kea-239x300.jpg 239w, http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/kea.jpg 421w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 145px) 100vw, 145px\" \/>New Zealand is the sheep land, but it&#8217;s also the country of birds. Even if some are beautiful and really deserve to go under the lens, we advise you to pay attention.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Be aware that, especially during the breeding season, birds can become very aggressive in order to protect their young. However shoot on a drone in flight is also prohibited by law.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>In summary<\/strong>, New Zealand is a beautiful country seen from the sky, unfortunately <strong>the increase of tourism and drones creates restrictions<\/strong>.<br \/>\nIn addition to the risks and nuisances during a flight, the DOC has already <strong>found a crushed drone in the middle of an albatross colony, <\/strong>protected species&#8230;\u00a0 With this kind of stupid event you can understand that <strong>the drone is quickly set badly<\/strong> by the environement protectors.<br \/>\n(cf : <a href=\"http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/news\/media-releases\/2016\/drone-found-within-albatross-colony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.doc.govt.nz\/news\/media-releases\/2016\/drone-found-within-albatross-colony\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-1584 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_panneau-248x300.jpg\" alt=\"drone_panneau\" width=\"224\" height=\"271\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_panneau-248x300.jpg 248w, http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_panneau-661x800.jpg 661w, http:\/\/www.lecoeurelephant.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/drone_panneau.jpg 744w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" \/>In addition a <strong>second point is questionable<\/strong> but can not be discussed, it&#8217;s the <strong>touristic business that will always override on you and your little drone<\/strong>.<br \/>\nFor example, it is strictly forbidden to fly near glaciers.
